How hard will it be to recover a hardware RAID 0+1 by z1root2007-10-08 12:09:05
If it is just the RAID controller by altordwm2007-10-08 12:44:23
Controller is sealed w/ drives in a custom device. by z1root2007-10-08 12:59:28
Is it still under warranty? by altordwm2007-10-08 14:55:06
Yes, and they sure can, for a hefty price. by z1root 2007-10-08 15:20:48
I did ask; the device IS still under warranty, but that only covers the hardware, not the data. Their data recovery service is a separate, very expensive service. Also, using THEIR data recovery service is the only way to get the drives out of the case without voiding the warranty, and you can't get the replacement if you void the warranty. The replacement device comes new drives, and they won't give you back the old drives after replacing box, probably because that would give you an extra Tera Byte of storage space for free.

Not always. Depends on what's shot by subbywan2007-10-08 16:05:21
