Logic should be taught as a part of reading. by z1root 2007-10-08 15:04:25
I've taken a few logic courses, and I've dealt with children of various ages who cannot read. I definitely see a connection between logic and the ability to read. They don't have to read to understand logical concepts explained to them, but understanding logical concepts certainly can help them learn to read (and do math). This is why I advocate teaching logic and critical thinking at ALL levels of education, starting with preschool.
