error on the part of the manufacturers inasmuch as they're assuming everyone has the time to read up on whether they want WEP, WAP or some other encryption, or to just leave the AP open. I read manuals for recreation (hence the request,) and I haven't been able to keep up on all the data. The standard EU just gives up because they just don't have the time, between the job, the kids, the hobbies, the house, the yard etc,etc. Even if they were more intelligent than us, we cannot expect CL from the general public.
