but it's hard to ask permission when you don't know whose wifi it is. I solve this by securing mine, and then calling it Ask_AptNumber. If anyone needs it, they just need to ask. It's a lot faster than cracking it. I've yet to have any takers.

My friend is a bit paranoid about people "stealing" his internet. He uses WPA2 or whatever the latest version is. Then he complains about lag, and runs a cable to his modem so that he can play WOW. I should probably tell him that it's probably the encryption causing the latency, but I haven't.
