The difference being, *knowing* what is good food/drink and what isn't. That sort of response to a "best job ever" post implies the poster wouldn't know good beer if he drowned in it. ;) Otherwise, given free choice in his fantasy he'd likely pick a better brewery. ;)
I happen to *like* McDonald's. I know it's cheap nasty crud but it's a junk food indulgence. On similar vein, I might occasionally eat Hershey chocolate. But would I say my dream job would be QA at the Hershey factory? Heck no, I'd be citing a different chocolate maker. If I had never tasted fine chocolate though, working QA at Hershey might well be viewed as a dream job. :P
You can get fat off gourmet food as well as fast food- but IMHO it's a little bit more "worth" the calories (or my pathetically low drinking limit) to go with quality. I can get drunk off of Bud like I can get drunk off say, Sierra Nevada, but why would I want to *bother at all* with Bud, or one of the fast food chains you couldn't drag me into even with drunk munchies? |
