In my office, we all have by undrcvrparothed 2007-10-08 10:59:42
a unique 3-letter, 3-number identification that is used for a number of the applications that my company runs, ex. ABC123.

They're all dynamically assigned, except for a few that got to pick their own when they first stood the system up a few years back.

I got to thinking today - if I could pick my own identifier, what would I pick?

And then it hit me - RFC791.
