Punishment question by Kickstart 2007-10-08 10:42:45
This story is about a man who may receive 30 years for stealing a doughnut and then pushing a cashier out of the way while fleeing.

A question on another site was raised...is it more "cruel and unusual" to send him to jail for 30 years or administer 10 lashes in a public square? I personally think that the lashes would likely serve as a better punishment and protection of society than the 30 years.

What say you?

KS
