| I know I'm late in chiming in on this, but cornea transplants have no effect on retinal diseases.
People who actually have retinitis pigmentosa (which I believe is still untreatable outside of some highly experimental and possibly dangerous procedures) and were watching your show, if they don't know any better and are running to the phone to make an appointment with their eye doctor, I believe you've done them a disservice.
For those of you who are going to tell me that people who have this disease wouldn't be watching TV, then let me explain that this is a degenerative disease that can take its course over years, so people in the mid to early stages of the disease could still have useable vision. |
