atic updates "source data" *YET AGAIN*. This is the *FOURTH* time I've had to decline that update in WSUS.
The initial release was declined because it was too close to brand-new at the time, and way too untested. Then it got detected again maybe two weeks later, and was declined again. It showed its ugly face again maybe two months after that, and was again declined.
Then I get in this morning and check the WSUS console, and see that 100-some of our machines "need" a patch. (We have updates set to auto-approve for detection, but not for installation.) So I go look at what patch it is -- oh, surprise surprise, it's IE7 *YET AGAIN*.
BOO! >:-(
(At this point I'm just declining it because they keep trying to either sneak it in or just wear us down. We have a couple users on it because their machine's IE6 tanked, or because my boss was being dumb when he did a full manual WU run on them and didn't remove IE7, but that's it.) |
