I do see him hit her once right after the bite at 7:22:15 to stun her long enough to get the mace out. I think he showed incredible restraint in using the mace and not flattening her to the ground or using more severe pain compliance. he could have easily broken her arm in several places or severely injured her at any time when she resisted but did not. I saw him shift grips several times to avoid breaking her arm when she resisted him.
