The Sony BRAVIA LCD flat panels are very nice. They're also too big. I don't NEED a 40" TV. I DO, however, want something that'll do 1080p. The smaller TVs only go up to 720p.
And yes, it MUST be a Sony. I will not buy any other brand of TV. And DON'T give me any nonsense about Sony being an "unethical" company. I don't care, because their consumer electronics division is separate from their music division. Yes, I KNOW that they're expensive...but you get what you pay for. My 29" Sony Trinitron TV has NEVER had a problem in the almost 8 years that I've had it, but it's not an HDTV.
