this in about an hour. Then again, I was quite worked up about the subject. Fiction takes me a little longer, and hopefully this time my story won't wander into awkward/taboo territory as it did last time (sex and torture and guns, oh my!), because that sometimes paralyzed me for up to 5 minutes with my fingers trembling over the keyboard not wanting to type the words I needed. I'm not really thinking of it in terms of a novel, but in terms of a story - my specialty is in writing tragic/melodramatic endings, so there has to be an end in mind before I begin (I don't do that whole 'no plot no problem' thing).
