NaMiniNoWriMo by kyrasantae2007-09-23 21:17:36
  Relax! by purplepineapple 2007-09-23 21:22:02
You still have a month+ for planning.

As far as the word-count goes... why don't you think about it in terms of "what do I think I can reasonably write per day?" and add that up to give yourself a total for November?

I'm considering tackling NaNoWriMo this year as a series of essentially unrelated short stories. I haven't won a NaNo before, and looking back I think my major weakness is that I'm used to writing short stories, and have trouble planning out plot etc for such a long story. So this year I'm just embracing that... I think I'm going to pick something to unite the stories (for instance, all of them set in Australia) because I just don't think I'll ever hit 50,000 any other way :\
