It was set completely in history, around the time of Alexander the Great, Hannibal, etc. I don't think you could actually research much past elephants; come to think of it, there might not have been research at all. You could build buildings, though. It might possibly have been named something to do with Hannibal; then again, it could just be the elephants I'm remembering.
