... there can be completely different relationships between a human being and her/his mother, right?
And there also can be completely different circumstances.
I do not only talk theory here.
In my very own case - e.g. - it is more than reasonable that I don't have any contact with my parents anymore.
That does not mean that I am not grateful for the good things they did for me!
The idea that they both are human too - to pick up your wording - came to my mind quite a long time ago, and I do know and respect their (actual) needs - vice versa did and does not apply to any of that, unfortunately.
Being someone's child does not necessarily mean that you have to be treated like some young animal that still needs to learn the ropes - especially not, when you've already learned more than your parents and are now dealing with an environment they know absolutely nothing about.
Not to mention that they don't know about any of your needs and they don't really want to see those, but just some imagination.
Sorry, I obviously still got some anger inside me ... |
