See Dr for increased dosage. by Havoc 2007-08-18 06:38:37
Normal is 5 or 6. If you have accurately described the results of your current dosage as compared with your pre-meds state, you may need to increase dosage by 50-100% to get into the normal range.

Most doctors will re-evaluate the patient and dosage 6 months after starting meds - has it been that long yet?

It is also very important to take the meds on schedule - don't miss a dose.

The main problem with depression is that once the person is back into the normal range from the meds, they decide that they feel fine now and don't need the meds, and stop taking them.

Then when they crash back to the bad old days, they decide that the meds don't work. Nothing works. Everything sucks. It's hopeless.

Vicious disease, that.
