I'd have gone for the afternoon delight. But that may just be my desperation speaking. It probably is normal, yes. You know her better than I...might she take offense at the perceived idea that you could possibly resist such a blatant offer? that you wouldn't just drop everything and sweep her off her feet if she stood naked in front of you? It might have been a blow to her self-esteem. How did you phrase your response? Was it closer to "I'm really busy right now," or was it more like "can we set a date for midnight"?
