Think about for instance the Indians. This is their traditional lifestyle. This is how they used to live, before we came and brought technology (and a lot of other things) to them.

Now, due to the advances of technology, they get to choose between living on a reservation, or living a more traditional lifestyle. I think we all know what the vast majority of them choose. There is likely a good reason - at least I'd think they are most likely to know exactly what the choice entails.

I think the 'free and wild, back to nature' lifestyle has been romanticized far too much. The hardships are usually not what most people think about. Nor the shortened life expectancy.
