You're guessing at conditions now. we have no idea WHAT the warrant said. It may have listed 8 people, and that was covered by 2 adults and 6 kids.

I don't have to justify pointing a gun at a 1 yo. I doubt it was done. with cops in a situation like that, swinging their weapons around to cover the whole room before sounding an all clear, the gun probably DID track over the 1 yo, and then off it, to cover a real target (like the adults). I seriously doubt a cop *kept* a weapon trained on a 1 yo. The parents likely saw the cops covering the whole place, and pausing over the kid, confirm it WAS no threat and then move on to the next target.

You are right about the apology. I've agreed with that from the start, and even gone further than it should have been done in person.
