Generally I prefer 3 point slings on tactical long arms. On precision and hunting guns I use a standard sling.

I do use a single point sling on my Repel All Boarders carbine because a 3 point sling interferes with the spare magazine carrier I use. (I'm changing how the sling mounts to the rifle but haven't gotten gotten A Round Tuit yet.)
