into the headers as it passes things along.

If the user is sending the email through their ISP's email server, Yahoo would correctly list that server. Prior to that, the IPS's server would need to do the right thing. GMail servers purposely do not record the originating IP addresses of their senders, as an example of doing the wrong thing.

If the user is sending directly via Yahoo email servers, then the headers should contain all the needed info.
