Out local school system will reimburse us .35 per mile for driving our kids to school - this however, is due to the fact that our assigned elementary is failing.

We knew three years ago it was overcrowded and poorly run and transferred our kids to a school near my husband's office. But this is the first year the school has officially 'failed'.

Ah well, at least it'll pay for their lunches :)
