If i remember correctly, XP has issues with disks >180Gb. if you install SP2, it should be possible to acces. In times long forgotten (when i didn`t have a slipstreamed SP2), i pulled all the plugs from disks >180 gig before reinstalling, because it FUBAR`ed the disks when i did not do that. (Filesystem gone). I hope that this was just a fluke of my system, because otherwise there is a possibility that your disks are also gone :(.
