  That smell caused me to cease shopping by voxwoman 2007-08-13 05:04:00
at the West Philly Acme (the one closest to campus). You could smell the rotten chicken from the doorway to the supermarket (and the meat section was all the way in back.

It was also instrumental in me procuring my first vehicle, because I related that story to my parents and convinced them I needed to have a car to drive to the upscale neighborhoods for groceries, the local markets being tainted and all.
