For what it's worth, you may just as well invest in an elevated stand to get a bit more space under the laptop - no moving parts to fail. Your laptop knows how to keep itself at the right temperature (Unless you're overclocking up the wazoo - silly boy). If you really do need uber cooling, buy a desk fan and point it under the stand. Same effect, and it helps move the air around the rest of the room as well!
