| of begging letters to my father. Not from credit card companies, but from (apparently) every charity and PAC in the US. He gets 2 letters a day from the Healthcare Reform Task Force (some of which look like bills) asking for donations. He gets letters from "Impeach President Bush" and "Friends of President Bush" in equal numbers. He gets boxes and mailing tubes that have begging letters in them instead of gifts (OK, one had a clothes pin, supposedly so you wouldn't have to smell Hillary or something).
I am the lucky soul that has to sort through all this detritus every week to pull out legitimate bank statements, checks, and bills.
I have no idea how to stop the flood of mail. I thought not sending them money would slow it down, but it hasn't in the 2 months I've been doing this.
My small stack of 2-4 credit card offers a day is NOTHING compared to what my dad's been getting.
