know that it is a toaster. If you put bread in and get ash out, then ask the toaster why it made ash instead of toast, it will simply stare at you and wonder what you are talking about. If we wish to be able to fix our toasters more easily than we can currently, then, then we must tell them that they are toasters and how to know that they made toast, so that if they make something else, they can tell us what went wrong.
