- You were born in a US hospital within the last roughly 30 years.
- You have had any dental work done in the US in the last 20 years
- You have every been in any military service
- You have ever been arrested in the US
- You have ever given blood in the US

Then...
It is highly likely that there is some kind of biometric information in a database someplace that is easily available to government and possibly private organizations.
Mailing lists anybody?

I can only imagine what other "smaller" countries are like.

Also...
If you have ever held a credit card you are very likely already under a "big brother" eye. Marketing firms do pay big dollars to credit card companies for purchase history information based upon demographics.

It gives me shivers to think what kind of information Google is collecting just through their search engine operations alone!

But... am I paranoid about it completely.
Not really... because of my work history, the government probably already knows more about me than I know myself.

Eh... as long as nobody takes my guns (and ammunition) from me... I'll be just fine. :-)
