mixed in with a *lot* of bad.

A national birth certificate i think would be a GREAT idea. It took my best friend almost a YEAR, two different copies of two different forms of birth certificates (county and state versions), getting a passport, and finally throwing a fit to a supervisor after the umpteenth trip to DMV in Colorado to get his licence changed from Texas to Colorado.

The bad part of it is the capacity for abuse without oversight. Before any of that went into use I would fight long and hard for some SERIOUS oversight on the whole process.
