I always thought that the description of miracles were allegorical in nature.

Water into wine - water drunk in the company of Jesus is as sweet as wine.
Feeding 5000 with a loaf of bread and five fish - when the generosity and selflessness of one person was demonstrated, it shamed everyone else into giving of what they had brought with them.

Which makes me see miracles less like suspension of laws of nature, and more like changes of human nature. But maybe that's just me?
