"The God Delusion". In fact, that's one of the primary themes in the book: why are "issues of faith" considered immune to science, and why can any amount of BS be protected by "it's my faith"?

Stephen Jay Gould coined the term NOMA, for "Non-Overlapping Magisteria", in an attempt to bend over backward to not offend the religious. Dawkins takes issue with this proposition. As he says, "[NOMA] sounds terrific - right up until you give it a moment's thought. What are these ultimate questions in whose presence religion is an honoured guest and science must respectfully slink away?"
