| By now their is enough technical staff in China, or asia in general, that they would have no problem reproducing almost anything. But the release of new technologies is what would really be impacted as the US and associated economies are the major source of the next generation of technology.
OTOH, if the US is in big financial trouble, I doubt China would have second thoughts in buying out companies or buying their R&D after they go bankrupt (both for pennies on the dollaryen). And I'm sure there would be no shortage of people (remember economy in big trouble) that would be willing to sell secrets to keep the family home and food on the table. |
