how is 20% down ever a bad thin on home. I have seen fixed rate 15/30yr loans where the loan can be a full 1.5% below prime if you can pony up 20% down. you beat the loan insurance too. I just can't see how a sane person signs on line that basically says in 5 years I am going to set this interest at whatever i damn well feel it and you won't have choice. cause once your in over your head its not like another agency is going to come in and bail you out of it. that says nothing of the people i know that took out ARM's and then "leverage equity" to buy a car. in this I am glad i listened to my grandfathers money advice as opposed to my parents.
