Am I just unlucky? - More Linux install woes by maximumbob 2007-07-29 21:02:05
I have tried to install Linux on probably 6 different computers. 3 different CD burners. 5 different distributions.

Yet probably 70% of the time, during the installation I get things like, "There was a fatal error attempting to install /var/log/mount/slackware/a/aaa_elflibs-12.0.0-i486-3.tgz."

Am I just unlucky? Do the Linux gods hate me? ... I always checksum the images before burning. I always try different CD burners. This has happened on 3 different computers when trying to install Slackware, and I just don't understand why installation ALWAYS FAILS.
