SWMBO came down a little while ago and said something was going on up the street - firetrucks and everything.

It tuens out the people just up the street from us thought their house had been hit by lightning. When I went out, the ladder truck was all set up in the middle of the road, firefighters up in the bucket with really bright lights, and the whole area lit up like it was the middle of the day.

Thankfully, they found nothing. As loud as some of the thunderclaps and as bright as some of the lightning, I am surprised nothing was hit in the area.
