They are cheaper, you just need to make a meal out of it, that you can eat two or three days in a row. The remaining part goes in the fridge. Things like a pasta dish, with onions (cheap), some ground beef or spam, any simple kind of veggie like broccoli or cauliflower, carrots, peas, green beans, etc. Add some young cheese, and tomato paste and some provencial herbs and you got a meal that last three days. If you need the complete recipe, let me know. :)
