it was difficult to convince him that his new wife was evil and sadistic. Fortunately it didn't last very long; some kids have to endure abuse throughout their entire childhoods. It's those kids I have in mind when I donate to organizations like Christmas Box House. And my older step-sister, who still lives in Las Vegas, has told me that I'll always have a place with her if I should need it. My life hasn't been all "doom and gloom"; there were difficult times, but I think I'm a better person for it.
