| Percent of incidents, by victim-offender relationship, type of crime and weapons use
Guns provided the largest weapons usage at 8.9% of the total, a full 36% of all weapons used.
However, they pale in comparison to the incidences of violence where *no* weapon was used at all, which was 67.4%.
Incidents where weapons *were* used, but were unknown, accounted for 1.1%, and 8.3% accounted for unknown if a weapon was used at all.
Knives accounted for 5.4%. This is US data. The UK, having clamped down on guns a LOT has, by most accounts, seen a surge in knife-related violence.
