How does it work?

Don't say it acts as a deterrent - we saw how well the cold war worked out, and I have no desire to go down that road. The only reason missiles acted as a deterrent was because they *were* designed to kill.

You did attempt to warp my words: I said "They are tools designed solely for killing things." and you said "to claim that is their *only* use, again, merely indicates a lack of imagination". Probably you didn't intend to imply that I claimed that this was their only use, but that is how your words read. Perhaps a little more care with other peoples' words in the future, please?
