I normally wash my comforter every 6 months. I didn't wash it in February because I was...preoccupied with finding a new job. Washing it today. I'm on the 2nd wash cycle, and the water is STILL filthy. Of course, the bloody thing barely fits into the washing machine I have, which is why after the 1st cycle, I pulled it out, flipped it upside down, and stuffed it back in. May have to run it through 2 extra rinse cycles, too.
