FTP Problem by scum 2007-07-29 05:49:40
Since about a week I have trouble connecting to any ftp site.
It works after a dozen retries but then looses connection again pretty fast and I can't do anything let alone transfer any files.

Anyone got any ideas what I could do or check? I am pretty clueless. All Ideas will be highly appreciated, because I really need ftp because of several things I do.

I use wind'ohs xp sp 2. For ftp I use either leechftp or flashfxp. I connect via a netgear router and It worked with "the same" (obviously it is not the same else it would work) configuration.

One thing I did that might help: A netstat -a -n brought up no connection on port 21. I think that is rather strange. The only connection I could attribute to ftp is
TCP_________scum:1629_________*********.de:ftp_______SYN_GESENDET

Please help I want my FTP back! :*( </whine>
