This happened earlier, but the board was being UFied, so I couldn't post 'til now.
So I'm at Home Depot, going to get some prices for a project I'm working on. I pull into the parking lot. I find a space. I pull in. I stop the car, I open the car door and I look down, since I wasn't quite sure how close to the line I'd gotten.
There was something on the white line separating the spaces in the parking lot. It was blue text. I thought...okay, blue, usually handicapped spaces are marked in blue ('round here they are), I should see what this says.
It was an ad. For car insurance.
I thought, who put this here? What the...
It was the entire line next to my car, the ad repeated about three times down the line. I got out and looked. Almost every line in the parking lot was now recovered with this...sticker? Whatever it was, the painted-on stripes in the parking lot...were now ads. For car insurance (I won't mention whom it was--don't want to dignify this one with virality, since apparently they have enough dough to claim space on the freakin' parking lot stripes!).
Anyone else seen anything like this? |
