Swearing in a minor assault on the ears, not a serious threat of injury or death. You're moving goalposts. How does the swearing person die? The point is that the person being "harmed" is able to deter, and if necessary, stop the person doing the harm.
If swearing were for some reason ranked as high as grievous bodily harm...people might still swear, but they'd be very likely stopped from offending again. |
