2) A Universal Constructor. Must be easily* programmable, offer at least some compatibility with current power/material sources (or have a way to do without, either permanently or for long enough to build up the local tech base), have lots of memory for different designs, come with schematics for a fusion reactor and more universal constructors, and have full documentation in a language that I understand.* *since I'm a geek, this isn't nearly as hard as it initially sounds.
