hands on c# guide. Reccomendations please? by jaqie 2007-07-25 19:10:10
I have to learn very hands-on, and ive been wanting to learn to program for a very long time. In order to be something I will stick it out and learn, I have to put it toward doing something I am really driven to do... namely writing plug-ins for decal, which is a 3rd party app for the MMOG Asheron's Call. Yes, they allow third party apps to be written. Anyway, back to my question: can someone please give me links or reco's to a good resource for learning C# in a way that is very hands-on? Dead tree is ok, but free, internet, and downloadable is a huge plus.

I have experience with QBasic, babysitting FreeBSD's make, compiling/making Quake 1 maps, and the ire, and have dabbled a tiny bit in C++ but never learned enough to make a program.
