But I was thinking that a "client" was an end user, not the RADIUS client (VPN gateway or AP). If you can work with different VPN vs. wireless users (or if you don't mind making the user a member of both groups if they need access to both), then that should work OK -- but it's overkill. What you really need to do is match on the RADIUS client.

Let me check our server to see if I can find anything...
