That person is probably jealous because they think they're not as attractive/clever/important as the other people you're hanging out with. When I first got together with my now wife, she was a bit like that - she thought for a while that I was with her because I couldn't get anybody better. That was very wrong, of course, but it took quite a while to sink in. A marriage will solve nothing. Being married is hard work. Very rewarding hard work, but work nevertheless.
