a slower catapult, longer deck, and the ski-jump nose to launch. Their ops never included what the US calls 'circular' operations. Launching and recovering a/c at the same time.

Of course, nowadays, probably 90% of the British nautical air force is VTOL, so the angle deck (and actually, the ski-jump, too) are practically unnecessary.
