| In order of choice:
1) Jetta TDI. At the moment nothing really beats a good diesel for fuel efficiency and at least lately diesel has actually been cheaper than standard unleaded. I believe they have also fixed some of their suspension issues as of late.
2) Honda Civic (or Acura Integra). As far as low maintenance cars go, I've had great luck with my Acura Integra. Be driving mine for 7 years now, with 190k miles and probably less than $1500 in non-maintanance repairs. Very surprising since I do not take care of my cars as well as I should. |
