Wikipedia about the WHATWG group: "Chris Wilson of Microsoft was invited but did not join citing the lack of a patent policy to ensure all specifications can be implemented on a royalty-free basis." So this wonderful little group of glorious and pious Apple-, Mozilla- and Opera-people did not guarantee that this standard could be implemented without having to pay for it? Well now... And now I find it's not even XML? What is this?!
